Lawrence Wong’s career started at the bottom of the Great Recession. He graduated in 2007 with a degree in Hospitality Management. His entrepreneurial side led him to get his real estate license in 2009. The slow times gave him the opportunity to learn and practice the fundamentals of real estate. The recession ended around 2013/ 2014. With the support of his broker/ mentor and the people around him, he thrived in the Brooklyn market. When the Covid- 19 World pandemic touched down in 2020, his wife Jophy, stepped back from her banking/lending background and helped him co-develop and lead their real estate team. Today, TheWongTeam is amongst the most successful in their company. They continue to stand true to their integrity, professionalism, and care. TheWongTeam is also fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and is part of a global network.

The challenge of creating a sales strategy tailored to every client’s property, along with managing the showing and negotiation phases and then bringing the parties to the closing table, are what keepsLawrenceenergized about his real estate career.

“Real estate appeals to me because I enjoy problem-solving. There are more intricacies and details – large and small issues that pop up -- than people appreciate, and it’s my job to solve those,” saysLawrence. “I like the satisfaction of helping clients reach their goals, not just selling the property but seeing the process through for them.”

Besides working,Lawrenceand his wife spend most their time with their daughter Alison, son Jonathan and Maltese Jolly. Time together is most precious. Whether walking in the park, going on a picnic, Disney World, Sesame Place… They cherish every moment.
